So I know that many of you may be worrying that the nightlife in Cambridge will suck to high heavens (I know I did!) But no need to worry, there is plenty to do, no matter what your style! During Freshers' week we will be giving you a taster of our favourite nights out on the town. So here is a quick description of the clubs we will be dragging your asses to throughout the week, and some you will get to know very quickly after.
Fez
Fez is the place to go if you want to dance the night
away. Low ceilings in this Moroccan style club make
this place a bit sweaty, but there's always the chillout
area to go catch a breather and a relaxing drink. A
mixture of music is played here but mainly
indie/dubstep.
Cindies (Ballare)
Even more sweat, much worse music. We say it's bad music, but who can lie? - we all know the words to S Club 7's "Reach." To be honest, probably the best club in Cambridge, there's always a massive crowd of people you know and lots and lots of making out.
Life (The Place)
Literally underneath Sidney fourth year accommodation - a normal club some might say. Fez's rival on a Sunday night.
Kambar
For those "different" people. ArcSoc throws some good nights here and there are occasionally bands playing.
Lola Lo
Flashing dance floor, rooftop terrace, and drinks in coconuts - what's not to love?
Vodka Revs
Pick up a discount card at the Freshers' Fair - comes in very useful and makes meals and wine very cheap. Also a fairly good club.
Clare Cellars
Only worth going on a Friday night - has a very cheap and good (too many and it turns bad) shot bar.
Formals
Sidney's formals are held every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Suit (nice clothes for girls) and gown needed, but usually seen as a prelash. Yummy food too :)
Not to mention a load more pubs, and then the Corn Exchange or The Junction for live gigs!
